The Live Healthy Vineland initiative is funded by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and is an extension of the New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids-Vineland, which was founded in 2009 with co-directorship provided by the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA and the Vineland Health Department (VHD) through funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Currently, NJPHK-V has engaged many key partners in crafting plans to create policies, system changes and improve our built environment in Vineland to make living well the easy choice. Live Healthy Vineland aims to expand the reach and accomplishments of NJPHK-V through a variety of community, school, and work based initiatives.

The 3 goals of Live Healthy Vineland include:

  1. Increase the number of people with access to environments with healthy food or beverages
  2. Increase the number of people with access to physical activity opportunities
  3. Increase the number of people with access to opportunities for prevention of chronic diseases through clinical and community linkages
