Administrative Positions

Third Party Administrative Personnel:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Third Party Administrator Assistant will be responsible for keeping administrative records organized, answering phones, and communicating status of all monies outstanding to program directors.  The ability to multi-task effectively and communicate on a professional level are essential. This position is also required to travel to Before and After School sites when needed for special events, communications with parents, or as dictated by the needs of the program.

Aquatic Positions

We are currently looking for happy, motivated, and responsible applicants to fill a various positions in our Aquatics Department. Applicants must hold a current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certification, along with any other required trainings. Join a fun team of staff and help promote safety around water!

Assistant Swim Coach:

 Our Y is looking for a highly motivated, professional applicant who is team oriented and has great communication skills. The YMCA Assistant Swim Team Coach candidate should have great people skills, a passion for competitive swimming, and love to work with 6 to 18 year olds. The position is a part-time, seasonal position at the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA. Candidate must have knowledge of teaching stroke techniques and can follow organized season training workouts.  Competitive swim experience required and coaching experience a plus.  Flexible schedule for 2 – 3 hour morning and evening practice sessions. Must have CPR and first aid certifications. Achieve ARC Safety Training for Swim Coaches within 30 days, if not Lifeguard certified. Swim Instructor:

Our Y is currently looking for part-time swim instructors. Duties/responsibilities include: instructs swimming lessons for ages 6 months through adult as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines. Experience: applicant must have recent experience teaching swim lessons; demonstrate the ability to assist children and others in the development of swimming skills. Ability to life equipment, and to lift an average sized child. Must hold a current CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification. ARC Water Safety or YMCA Swim Instructor certification strongly preferred. Must be team oriented, very reliable, great with kids and responsible.

Lifeguards:

The Y is currently looking for certified Lifeguards; part-time position for daytime and weekend hours. 18 years or older preferred (must be at least 16 years old to apply). Must have current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications.

Child Care Positions

School Age Program Supervisor (10 Month Part-Time) - Atlantic County 

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Through the direction of the Senior Director of School Age & Day Camp Programs, the School Age Program Director develops, organizes and implements high quality YMCA School Age Programs. This position oversees and maintains assigned school age locations which includes traveling to and from those designed sites. The School Age Programs Supervisor also assists in recruiting, hiring, training, developing, scheduling and directing personnel and volunteers as needed as well as reviews and evaluates staff performance. Other responsibilities for this positon include, are not limited to, budgeting responsibilities, community involvement, and organizing staff meetings. Preschool Program - Substitute Teacher

Our Preschool program has immediate openings for a substitute teachers. The candidate should have a minimum of a Teacher Substitute Certificate, but preferably hold a Preschool Certification.

Before and After School - Site Coordinators

Join our team and make a difference! Our School Age Child Care (Before & After Care) program is looking for Site Coordinators for the 2018-2019 school year in Cumberland, Atlantic, and Salem counties. The School Aged Child Care Site Coordinator must be at least 21 years of age, have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and at least two year’s experience working with children. CPR, AED, Oxygen, and First Aid certification are required within the first 90 days of employment. Effective professional communication skills, both verbal and written are required.

Before and After School - Site Assistants

Our School Age Child Care (Before & After Care) program is looking for Site Coordinators for the 2018-2019 school year in Cumberland, Atlantic, and Salem counties. The School Aged Child Care Assistant must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children. Facility/Maintenance

Facility Maintenance Support

Our Y is looking for a dedicated individual to join our building/facility maintenance team. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Facility Maintenance Support Personnel will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all members, guests, and staff at the CCA YMCA, any other facility designated to be CCA YMCA responsibility, and Camp Merrywood, as directed. This position supports the overall operations of the mechanical, housekeeping, and life safety systems of the CCA YMCA facility, any other facility designated to be CCA YMCA responsibility, and Camp Merrywood. Applicant must be 21 years of age and have an understanding and general knowledge of OSHA safety in the workplace.
