• Day Camp runs 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• Before and After Care options are available
  • Before and After Care with Early Bird option: 6:30am to 5:30pm
  • Before and After Care: 7:30am to 5:30pm
• Healthy breakfast and lunch will be provided to all campers
• Pool/lake swim time – location specific at the YMCA and Camp Merrywood. Safe swim instruction and recreation swim for ages 6 and up.
• All camps provide a variety of different educational, health-focused, creative, and of course, FUN activities, as well as, a different weekly theme throughout the summer
• “Special Event” days including ice cream day, pretzel day, and special event Fridays!
• Three Camp locations available to serve our communities:
  • Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA (1159 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ) – Camps provided: Camp Mini-Me and Camp Hiawatha
  • Camp Merrywood (1249 Jesse Bridge Road, Pittsgrove, NJ) – our beautiful 68-acre outdoor campground located 15 minutes away from the Y! Camp Sequoia and Camp Arrow campers will attend this location. Bussing to and from the Y and Camp Merrywood included for campers.
  • Somers Point Camp at Dawes Ave School (22 W Dawes Ave, Somers Point, NJ 08244)
• Low staff to child ratios; all staff are intensively trained and certified (included CPR/AED/First Aid) before working at our Y

• Our camps are American Camping Association Accredited and licensed through the State of New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services

Somers Point Camp - Ages 3-15

• Before and After Care Camp*: FREE before and after care! Fees are waived if five (5) or more weeks of camp are paid in full by April 30th, 2024 (Excludes $10 Early Bird rates); Only the weeks paid for by this date will receive the free before and after care. 
• Backpack*: Camper receives a free backpack, AND FREE before and after care, if six (6) or more weeks if registered by April 30th, 2024 ($10.00 value)

American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation means that our YMCA summer camp undergoes a thorough peer review of our operation — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at your child’s camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.
