The Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA has added two new members to its Board of Directors. They are Dolores Hoffman and Cristy Lopergolo. Both attended their initial Board meetings in at the regularly scheduled monthly meeting in late May.
For twenty-three years, Hoffman has been the co-owner of Pancoast Funeral Home, in Vineland. This has been awarded Small Business of the Year by the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce and Selected Small Independent Funeral Homes by that industry. Early in her career she worked in banking. She is a graduate of Atlantic Cape Community College.
Hoffman is active in the local community. She is a Board director for the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce, as well as a Business and Facilities Committee member for the Cumberland Christian School and an Administrative Board member for the Newfield Methodist Church. Hoffman lives in Vineland with her husband, Jim, and their daughter. Her hobbies include playing the piano and freelance writing.
She said, “I’m so glad to be joining the board of the YMCA. Helping foster the health and safety of children in our community, as well as promoting health in general, will be a big part of my focus as a board director.”
Lopergolo has been a Millville Public School employee for twenty-eight years. Over those years she has served as a K-12 supervisor, middle school teacher, and instructional coach. This fall, she will return to the classroom as a special education teacher.
Lopergolo said, “I am very honored to join the Y Board of Directors. As a long-time Y member, I know that it is a leader in our community in health, wellness, and other programs for people of all ages.”
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Glassboro State College and a Master’s from the University of Scranton. Lopergolo is a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and with the annual Everett Marshall Charities Golf Tournament, which benefits the Burn Foundation. She and her husband, Brian, live in Vineland and have two children. In her spare time, Lopergolo enjoys golf, cooking, and family time.
