A new Finance director has joined the staff of the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA. Jenise Graves was introduced to the Y’s Board at their January meeting by outgoing president Kathy Farinaccio. Farinaccio spoke for the entire Y organization when she welcomed Graves. “We are so very pleased that Jenise is part of this organization,” she said. “I’m certain that her personality, experience, and attitude will be great assets.”
The new Finance director says that there is more to the Y than meets the eye. Graves noted, “It’s much bigger than I expected, and the services are so varied. Plus, there are people of all ages enjoying the programs.”
Graves was previously a senior accountant at the nonprofit Gateway Community Action Partnership, where for over two decades she dealt with issues ranging from children’s care to Alzheimer’s care.
Graves said, “I was attracted to the Y because it stands for values that are close to mine. Working here has been like a breath of fresh air: I look forward to coming to work as if it’s the first day of school!”
She is also involved with her own accounting firm, 4MG Accounting and Financial Services. She holds an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree from DeVry University plus a Master’s from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
She volunteers with her church, where she is active, plus as a tax preparer for income eligible community members. Graves is originally from Bridgeton but resides in Vineland with her two daughters.
